Special Procedure of Pre-trial Investigation under Martial Law: Binary Lecture for DSUIA Cadets

A series of binary lectures has been launched at DSUIA with the participation of the First Deputy Head of the Main Directorate – Head of the Investigative Department of the National Police in Dnipropetrovsk region, Police Colonel Inna Vlasova.

The event was organized by the Department of Criminal Procedure of DSUIA. The first lecture for 4th-year cadets of the Faculty of Training Specialists for Pre-trial Investigation of the National Police was held on the topic of the peculiarities of conducting pre-trial investigations under martial law. Inna Vlasova covered the specifics of initiating a pre-trial investigation, carrying out investigative (search) actions, applying measures to ensure criminal proceedings, suspending and completing pre-trial investigations, as well as restoring lost materials of criminal proceedings.

In addition, Inna Vlasova emphasized the importance of using technical means for documenting war crimes, which improve the effectiveness of evidence recording, in particular unmanned aerial vehicles, 3D scanners, and the “Investigator’s Protocol” application.

During the lecture, cadets were also shown video recordings of aerial footage and terrain scanning.
