At Dnipro State University of Internal Affairs, solemn events were held on the occasion of first-year cadets taking the Oath of a National Police of Ukraine Officer.
After the performance of the National Anthem of Ukraine, all present honored the memory of fallen heroes with a minute of silence and laid flowers at the Memorial to the Fallen Defenders of Ukraine.
The host read out the greetings of the Minister of Internal Affairs of Ukraine, Police General of the First Rank Ihor Klymenko.
The cadets were also congratulated by the Deputy Head of the National Police of Ukraine – Head of the Patrol Police, Police General of the Third Rank Oleksandr Fatsevych, First Deputy Head of the Dnipropetrovsk Regional State Administration – Head of the Regional Military Administration Yurii Yandulskyi, Deputy Head of the Main Directorate of the National Police in Dnipropetrovsk Region, Police Colonel Yurii Merdenov, and Assistant to the Head of the Main Directorate of the National Police in Dnipropetrovsk Region on Veterans’ Policy Issues Denys Skaleukh.
The Acting Rector of DSUIA Ihor Mahdalina emphasized that taking the Oath is a symbolic and at the same time responsible step in the life of every cadet, as from now on they are part of the large family of law enforcement officers who serve the Ukrainian people.
The right to read the text of the Oath was granted to a cadet of the Faculty of Training Specialists for Criminal Police Units of the NPU, Police Private Oleh Frankevych. The first-year cadets repeated the words of the Oath, confirming their readiness to serve the Motherland with honor and dignity.
After this, the cadets received police badges, which were solemnly attached to their uniforms by distinguished guests and officers.
The event concluded with a creative gift from the cadets – a patriotic song.
