The event was initiated by the Department of Psychology and Pedagogy of the Educational and Scientific Institute of Law and Innovative Education at the Dnipro State University of Internal Affairs.
The meeting aimed to promote psychological knowledge, preserve the mental health of young people, develop skills in providing first psychological aid, engage students in in-depth study of psychology, foster critical thinking, and unlock creative potential.
The key theme of the meeting was “Problems of Self-Knowledge as a Path to Professional Growth.” The participants discussed the creative journey and the influence of Sigmund Freud’s scientific legacy on the development of science, culture, and art.
A report on the profound essence and role of Freud’s contribution to science was presented by Professor of the Department of Psychology and Pedagogy, Viktoriia Savishchenko. Interesting facts about the life and work of the psychoanalyst were prepared by third-year Psychology students Anastasiia Polova and Illia Khytryi.
At the end of the meeting, the head of the club, Associate Professor Natalia Spytsia, conducted a psychological training session focused on developing self-regulation skills and providing primary psychological aid.
The “Psychological Studies” event inspired higher education students to continue their scientific explorations and encouraged them to follow the path of self-knowledge, advocated since ancient times by philosophers, psychologists, and educators.
