At Dnipro State University of Internal Affairs, a series of elective classes continues for the course “Community Safety in Conditions of Martial Law,” aimed at training highly qualified specialists for the preventive activity units of the National Police of Ukraine.
The classes were organized by the Department of Psychology, Sociology, and Pedagogy, the Department of Administrative Law and Procedure, and the Research Laboratory of Preventive Activity and Sociological Studies of DSUIA.
Senior Lecturer of the Department of Administrative Law and Procedure, Police Captain Kristina Derevyanko, Head of the Department of Psychology, Sociology, and Pedagogy, Candidate of Sociological Sciences, Associate Professor Nataliia Komykh, and Head of the Research Laboratory of Preventive Activity and Sociological Studies of DSUIA, Candidate of Legal Sciences, Associate Professor, Police Major Iryna Drok were involved in conducting the elective.
Cadets of the Educational-Scientific Institute for Training Specialists for Preventive Activity Units of the NPU participated in the third class. Within the framework of the practical class, the strategy for developing a safe community was considered, priority directions, goals, and tasks of sustainable community development in a dynamic environment were identified, taking into account risks and opportunities.
During the class, multimedia technologies were used. In particular, the modern platform Mentimeter was utilized as a tool for active interaction with cadets during the class, instant polling, and forming a qualitative assessment of the trainees’ needs during the presentation of the material.
