The event was organized for police officers of the Educational Safety Service undergoing specialization at DSUIA.
The speaker before the audience was the Head of the Automotive Training Department of the university, military veteran Yevhenii Khokhlov.
During the conversation, Yevhenii Khokhlov spoke about his life path, service in the ranks of the Armed Forces of Ukraine, and participation in countering the armed aggression of the Russian Federation. He shared his own stories from the front, examples of courage and mutual support of comrades, emphasizing the importance of preserving unity, resilience of spirit, and mutual respect.
During the discussion, the issue of implementing veteran policy in the educational environment was also addressed, in particular — how officers of the Educational Safety Service can contribute to fostering respect among schoolchildren for military personnel, veterans, and their family members.
The conversation touched upon the importance of instilling patriotism in youth, understanding the role of Ukraine’s defenders, and the need to create an atmosphere of support in educational institutions for children whose parents are defenders.
The issue of interaction between officers and teaching staff, parents, and psychologists aimed at supporting veterans and fostering a positive attitude toward defenders among student youth was raised.
Such meetings have significant educational value for police officers, especially for officers of the Educational Safety Service, who in their future activities will interact with children whose parents are military personnel or veterans. Understanding the value of the defenders’ feats helps foster in future law enforcement officers a sense of gratitude, empathy, and responsibility toward society.
