The event was held for officers of the Educational Safety Service who are undergoing specialization at the Dnipro State University of Internal Affairs.

The class was conducted by Major of Police Yuliia Prus, Deputy Head of the “Educational Safety Service” Sector of the Synelnykove District Police Department of the Main Department of the National Police in Dnipropetrovsk Region.

The event was aimed at increasing the awareness of future police officers of the educational safety sector regarding the identification of signs of violence, algorithms for responding to cases of abuse, and methods of providing assistance to affected children.

Yuliia Prus emphasized the importance of vigilance and sensitivity to the problems of childhood, as cruelty can manifest itself in various forms – physical, psychological, sexual, and economic. She explained each of these forms in detail, provided real-life examples, and pointed out the importance of being able to recognize even minor changes in a child’s behavior that may indicate they have become a victim of abuse.

Special attention was drawn to the responsibility of adults for cruel treatment of children. Practical aspects of responding to reports of child abuse were discussed.

Thanks to the information received, the participants of the event will be able to more effectively identify cases of child abuse, respond to such incidents, and contribute to creating a safe and supportive environment for children’s development.
