At Dnipro State University of Internal Affairs, a meeting was held between cadets and veterans of the Russian-Ukrainian war who are currently employed in various structural units of the university.

The event was organized by the leadership of the first-year course — Deputy Course Heads Major of Police Oleksandr Halemin and Senior Lieutenant of Police Yuliia Khorolska, together with Head of the Social and Humanitarian Work Department, Lieutenant Colonel of Police Nataliia Karnaukh.
The cadets had the opportunity to speak with Andrii Shevchenko, Instructor of the Department of Special Physical Training, and Oleksandr Otrubianikov, Technician of the Leisure Group. The veterans shared their personal combat experience, spoke about the realities of war and life at the front, the importance of mutual support, and the role of inner resilience.
The meeting was held in an open dialogue format. The veterans not only answered questions but also offered valuable advice to future law enforcement officers, emphasizing the importance of discipline, responsibility, and continuous self-improvement. They noted that the knowledge gained during training can prove decisive in difficult situations, while the skills developed at the university form the foundation of professional endurance and confidence in service.

Such meetings remain an important element of national and patriotic education for cadets. They help foster respect for military and law enforcement service, deepen understanding of the challenges faced by Ukraine’s defenders, and reinforce the importance of thorough preparation for professional duties in today’s conditions.
