The participants of the event were cadets of the Educational and Scientific Institute for Training Specialists for Preventive Units of the National Police of Ukraine.
The quiz took the form of an intellectual competition, during which cadets demonstrated their knowledge of the legal regulation of accessibility in Ukraine, international standards in this field, judicial practice, and other key aspects. The questions covered a wide range of topics — from architectural accessibility and transport infrastructure to inclusive education and access to information.
According to the event organizer, Associate Professor of the Department of Administrative Law and Procedure and Police Senior Lieutenant Karina Pisotska, the participants showed a high level of knowledge, confidently answered complex questions, expressed well-founded opinions, and engaged in discussions on the problematic aspects of accessibility in Ukraine. Based on the results of the quiz, the winners were announced.
“The formation of an accessible environment is not only a matter of physical comfort but also one of human rights protection. Therefore, future law enforcement officers must have a deep understanding of legislation in this area and be able to apply this knowledge in practice. This enhances their readiness to protect the rights of persons with disabilities and other socially vulnerable groups,” emphasized Karina Pisotska.
