The event was held in a joint format, bringing together 1st–4th-year cadets of Dnipro State University of Internal Affairs (DSUIA) and students of the Dnipro Lyceum named after O. Hostishchev.

With a welcoming speech, Serhii Vyshnevskyi, Head of the Psychological Support Department of DSUIA, addressed the participants. He emphasized the importance of developing psychological resilience, understanding one’s own emotions, supporting each other, and being able to discuss difficult topics openly.

The key part of the event was the screening of the documentary “Transformation 450”, created by the Ministry of Internal Affairs of Ukraine. The film tells the stories of servicemen who endured captivity and loss but found the strength to recover and help others. After the screening, a discussion with DSUIA psychologists took place, during which cadets and lyceum students shared their impressions, asked questions, and expressed their emotions.

The conversation touched on topics such as emotional literacy, mutual support, and the acceptance of vulnerability. According to the organizers, this format helps young people develop reflection, critical thinking, and empathy — qualities that are essential for becoming a professional law enforcement officer.

“We want future police officers and lyceum students to understand that psychological strength is not the absence of emotions, but the ability to manage them. Cadets and lyceum students learn to see themselves not only as future defenders but also as people capable of understanding, supporting, and empathizing,” emphasized Alina Horodnychenko, DSUIA psychologist.

Psychologists once again highlighted that mental health is not a luxury, but an integral part of the professional training of modern specialists within the Ministry of Internal Affairs system.
