Second-year cadets of the Faculty for Training Specialists for the Criminal Police Units of the National Police of Ukraine took part in the event.
At Dnipro State University of Internal Affairs, a series of practical sessions continues, conducted by officers from the Criminal Analysis Departments of the Main Directorates of the National Police in Dnipropetrovsk, Donetsk, Zaporizhzhia, and Luhansk regions.
The latest session was conducted by Senior Inspector of the Operational Monitoring Department of the Criminal Analysis Directorate of the Zaporizhzhia Region Police Headquarters, Police Captain Oleksandr Tokman, and Inspector of the Analytical Work Department of the same Directorate, Police Lieutenant Tetiana Ivashkevych.
Cadets became familiar with the methodology and current practices used by criminal analysis officers to recognize human faces during checks for possible involvement in criminal offenses.
Attention was focused on the importance of this activity for documenting criminal actions committed by individuals involved in war crimes and collaboration during martial law.
In addition, digital tools for criminal analysis were discussed, including programs and services used for offender identification.
Holding such sessions helps cadets acquire theoretical knowledge and develop the essential skills required for effective work in the field of criminal analysis.
