Cadets of the Faculty for Training Specialists for the Criminal Police Units of the National Police of Ukraine took part in the event organized by the Psychological Support Department.
The training aimed to promote a conscious attitude toward mental health as a key resource for police efficiency and the development of psychological resilience.
During the session, cadets participated in interactive exercises, analyzed real service situations, and discussed strategies for stress management and teamwork development. Attention was focused on professional ethics and standards of interaction that help maintain authority, trust, and effectiveness in service.
Alina Horodnychenko, a psychologist from the Psychological Support Department of DSUIA, emphasized that a strong police officer is not only about physical endurance and discipline. It is the ability to remain composed under stress, support fellow officers, and maintain professionalism and humanity. Internal resources and psychological resilience enable officers to perform their duties effectively even in the most challenging circumstances.
As a result of the training, cadets realized the importance of maintaining mental health as a professional resource, developed emotional resilience and teamwork skills, practiced communication under stress, and learned practical tools for self-regulation and restoring psychological balance.
Dnipro State University of Internal Affairs consistently fosters psychological culture and stress resilience among future law enforcement officers, as mental health is the foundation of professional readiness, confidence, and high performance in service.
