DSUIA Veterans Became Winners and Prize-Winners of the All-Ukrainian Table Tennis Competition

NEWS, Sport for military veterans

The “Veterans Games” in table tennis have concluded in Vinnytsia, where three more representatives of the Dnipro State University of Internal Affairs earned the right to participate in the finals.

The sporting event brought together over 100 participants from across the country — veterans, active military personnel, and representatives of law enforcement agencies who sustained injuries while performing their duties in combat zones.

Among the competitors were military veterans who train at the Dnipro State University of Internal Affairs. Based on the tournament results, Yevhen Boiko took first place in the individual ranking (category “Visually Impaired”), while Viacheslav Kaistro claimed first place in the individual event (category “Amputees”) and second place in the doubles tournament (category “Standing”). Serhii Kyrychenko finished eighth in the individual event, which also qualifies him for the finals to be held on November 28–30 in Kyiv.

Debut performances at this level of competition were made by newcomers Oleh Sakhnov, Andrii Shevchenko, and Vladyslav Korzhenko. The veterans demonstrated a strong level of training and provided worthy competition to their opponents.

The medals were presented to the winners by the Minister for Veterans Affairs of Ukraine, Nataliia Kalmykova.

It should be noted that during the previous stages of the “Veterans Games,” three more DSUIA representatives — Viktor Tykholaz, Yevhen Boiko, and Ruslan Belyu — qualified for the finals.

We proudly support our athletes!
