Trainees of “Police Academy” of DSUIA started training

Vice-Rector of Dnipro State University of Internal Affairs, Colonel of Police Ihor Kovalov met with trainees of the Center for Primary Professional Training “Police Academy” who from today started the training course.

In the event also participated the director of the Center Mykola Nazarenko, deputy director of the Center Lieutenant Colonel of Police Yurii Kopaniev.

To the university arrived 42 trainees from Zhytomyr, Zakarpattia, Odesa, Poltava, Sumy, Ternopil, Kharkiv, Cherkasy, and Chernihiv regions, as well as representatives of the Department of Strategic Investigations and Department of Internal Security of the NPU.

During the training at the Center for Primary Professional Training “Police Academy” of DSUIA, trainees will master firearms, tactical-special, and physical training, as well as study the preparation of official documentation, professional ethics, legal norms, and the procedure of interaction of police units.

In his address to future police officers, Ihor Kovalov emphasized that the profession of law enforcement officer requires a high level of responsibility, discipline, and inner resilience. He stressed that during training it is especially important not only to acquire knowledge and practical skills, but also to realize their mission — to serve society, protect life and rights of citizens, act honestly and fairly in any conditions.
