The event was organized by the project coordinator – Mykolas Romeris University, city of Vilnius (Lithuania).
Specialists of Dnipro State University of Internal Affairs joined the online meeting with representatives of the Academy of Public Security of Mykolas Romeris University (Lithuania) to discuss participation in the development of the European master’s program “Eastern Expansion and Security of the European Union”, aimed at training leaders and specialists of law enforcement agencies, from whose decisions and activities the well-being of European societies will depend in the long-term perspective.

DSUIA was represented by the director of the Research and Educational Institute of Law and Innovative Education Volodymyr Shablistyi and the head of the international cooperation department Tetiana Chumachenko.
From Mykolas Romeris University were present the dean of the Academy of Public Security of the University Mantas Bileišis and the dean’s advisor on project activities Kateryna Polupanova.
The joint master’s program will be developed for a wide target audience – students of EU countries and states involved in the EU expansion program, as well as bachelor’s graduates who are already working or planning a career in the field of law enforcement or internal security.
In the composition of the project consortium – Mykolas Romeris University, Dnipro State University of Internal Affairs, Estonian Academy of Security Sciences, Faculty of Military Sciences of the Netherlands Defence Academy, Riga Technical University.
During the meeting, the program structure was discussed, stages of development and submission of the application to the European Commission for participation in the Erasmus Mundus program of the European Union for the purpose of developing the above-mentioned new, innovative, highly integrated master’s educational program, which envisages joint mechanisms for teaching and learning and preparation for accreditation, mandatory physical mobility for each student, etc. For DSUIA – this is an opportunity to use the European approach to ensuring the quality of educational programs and experience in developing joint programs with higher education institutions of the European Union.
Participation in such a project will contribute to the course of internationalization of DSUIA through educational programs that are jointly introduced and recognized by higher education institutions of the European Union and open to institutions in other countries of the world.
