Practical Tactical Training Session for Police Officers of the Patrol Response Sector

NEWS

The event was organized by the Department of Tactical and Special Training of Dnipro State University of Internal Affairs.

Under the supervision of Associate Professor of the Department, Police Major Vadym Fursa, together with Deputy Head for Preventive Activities of Police Department No. 1 of Dnipro District Police Directorate No. 1 of the Main Department of the National Police in Dnipropetrovsk Region, Police Captain Mykola Sidyi, and Head of the Patrol Response Sector of the same unit, Police Captain Stanislav Lakhai, a practical tactical training session was conducted for patrol response officers serving in units stationed at checkpoints.

During the session, participants practiced the police action algorithms for stopping vehicles with varying levels of risk, performing a series of situational tasks closely simulating real service conditions.

Special attention was paid to coordination between officers, adherence to tactical principles — in particular, the “Contact–Cover” principle — and ensuring personal safety during vehicle inspections at checkpoints.

In addition, officers were briefed on response procedures in cases involving explosive devices and practiced elements of self-aid for injuries.

Such training sessions enhance the professional skills of police officers, improve their ability to act effectively in emergency situations, and contribute to strengthening public safety within the areas under police responsibility.
