Representatives of Dnipro State University of Internal Affairs (DSUIA) took part in the first stage of the 26th International Petro Yatsyk Ukrainian Language Competition.

The event, held on the Day of Ukrainian Writing and Language, brought together cadets, students of DSUIA, and pupils of the Dnipro Lyceum of Security and National-Patriotic Education named after O. Hostishchev of the Ministry of Internal Affairs.

The competition aims to promote the prestige of the Ukrainian language among young people, fostering respect for Ukrainian culture and traditions. DSUIA has supported this initiative annually, contributing to the development of linguistic competence and national consciousness among youth.
Participants completed various Ukrainian language tasks, including writing essays, identifying text styles, and writing numerical expressions in words. Such exercises help deepen language knowledge, enhance analytical thinking, and develop creativity.
The winners of the first stage will be announced in early November.
Winners of the fourth stage in their respective categories will receive Presidential Scholarships of Ukraine, a high recognition of their achievements.
Participation in the Petro Yatsyk Competition has become another important step for DSUIA representatives toward improving their language skills and affirming respect for Ukrainian culture.
