The event was organized by the International Cooperation Department with the participation of the Department for the Organization of Scientific Activities of the Dnipro State University of Internal Affairs.

Svitlana Tsyhankova, Leading Specialist of the International Cooperation Department, spoke about the opportunities for preparing and submitting applications for the Jean Monnet program. The aim of this activity is to promote excellence in teaching and enhance knowledge in the field of European integration by stimulating research activities and strengthening dialogue between academia and the wider community.

Attention was focused on the structure of a project proposal, the mandatory definition of its relevance, focus, and sustainability, as well as its impact on the educational process and the level of competence of higher education students.
The discussion also addressed key aspects of proposal writing that influence the expert evaluation of a project and align with the priorities of the Erasmus+ program. These include interdisciplinarity, the participation of both experienced lecturers and young professionals in the project team, and the confirmation of professional qualifications through publications or international internships.
Participants were also presented with several project ideas tailored to the specific focus of DSUIA, in particular the dissemination of knowledge on applying European security principles and approaches within the Common Security and Defence Policy, and the importance of adapting European experience to national conditions. These efforts aim to enhance the efficiency of law enforcement agencies and accelerate the adaptation of national security institutions to the standards, norms, and regulations of the European Union.
