The event was held for students of the Educational and Scientific Institute of Law and Innovative Education of the Dnipro State University of Internal Affairs at the premises of the Department of Social Protection of the Population of the Dnipropetrovsk Regional State Administration.
The class was organized by the Department of Administrative and Legal Disciplines and Public Administration of the Educational and Scientific Institute of Law and Innovative Education of the Dnipro State University of Internal Affairs.
Head of the Personnel, Records Management and Control Department Tetiana Chotobar introduced students to the activities of the structural unit, its main areas of work, and functions, as well as outlined the main categories of individuals receiving social support.
In addition, students learned about the National Strategy for Creating a Barrier-Free Environment in Ukraine, presented by acting head of the municipal institution “Center for Social Assistance and Support” of the Dnipropetrovsk Regional Council, Yevhen Tarantsov.
Yevhen Tarantsov familiarized the students with six types of accessibility: physical, social and civic, educational, informational, digital, and economic. He emphasized that all these aspects are being implemented within the flagship project “Movement Without Barriers,” which is part of the First Lady of Ukraine Olena Zelenska’s initiative “Without Barriers.”
The event became an important component of the practical training of future lawyers, contributing to their understanding of the principles of the state’s social policy and raising awareness about accessibility and the protection of citizens’ rights.
