The lesson was organized by the department of administrative law and process and conducted for cadets of the 1st year of the faculty of training specialists for criminal police units of the NPU of Dnipro State University of Internal Affairs.
Participation in the lesson on the discipline “Work of a police officer oriented on the needs of citizens” took community police officers of the sector of interaction with communities of the prevention department of Dnipro District Police Department No. 2 — police captains Andrii Malikov, Yaroslav Lohvin and Oleksii Shapoval.
Law enforcement officers told about the main tasks of community police officers and about decisions that they adopt in the process of their activity.
During the lesson police officers together with cadets discussed problems that arise in the territory of the community and sought ways of their resolution. Participants developed an algorithm of actions in case of citizens’ appeals with statements about petty thefts, hooligan actions, facts of domestic violence, drinking of alcoholic beverages in public places, as well as in cases of violation of traffic rules etc.
The meeting with police officers caused in cadets great interest, contributed to the expansion of worldview and deepening of their professional knowledge.
