The event was held on the occasion of World Savings Day at the initiative of the National Bank of Ukraine with the purpose of spreading financial education and motivation of the adult population to self-education in the sphere of personal finances.
Head of the department of social-humanitarian work of DSUIA police lieutenant colonel Nataliia Karnaukh acquainted participants with World Savings Day, its essence and history. Cadets and students took part in the game “Financial bingo”, learned about financial habits and basics of correct financial behavior.
With the help of smartphones participants of the testing registered and answered questions, each of which reflected life situations that consumers of financial services often face.
The event had not only the purpose of assessing the level of knowledge, but also contributed to the formation of practical skills of financial literacy through modeling life situations and providing useful recommendations.
Such events help youth realize the importance of rational management of own funds and form financial culture.
