The event took place at the base of the Communal Enterprise “Regional Medical Center of Family Health” of Dnipropetrovsk Regional Council. Participation in the Donor Day took the temporarily acting rector of DSUIA Ihor Mahdalina and assistant rector Volodymyr Kovbasa.
Donation of blood was carried out by cadets, students and employees of Dnipro State University of Internal Affairs. Each of them adhered to the corresponding diet and responsibly approached the donor procedure.
At the beginning each donor was examined by doctors, had arterial pressure measured and was questioned regarding well-being.
Participants of the action donated approximately 450 milliliters of blood — it will be useful for patients of the Dnipro Regional Children’s Clinical Hospital.
At Dnipro State University of Internal Affairs volunteering and blood donation are an integral component of forming civic consciousness and professional ethics of future law enforcement officers. Cadets and students systematically join charitable initiatives, actions for collecting donor blood, assistance to the military and victims of war. Such events foster responsibility, compassion, readiness to come to the aid of others — qualities without which it is impossible to imagine a true defender of law and order.
