The event was organized by the general library of DSUIA together with the head of the information-resource center “Window to America” of Dnipropetrovsk Regional Universal Scientific Library Svitlana Usenko.
For the celebration of the Day of creation of the European Union at Dnipro State University of Internal Affairs took place an informational-educational lecture “European journey: what to see in Vienna”.
Participation in the event took cadets of Dnipro State University of Internal Affairs and pupils of Dnipro Lyceum of security direction and national-patriotic education of the Ministry of Internal Affairs named after O. Hostishchev.
Participants learned about the history of the city, its main symbols, memorials to Ukrainian Cossacks who liberated Vienna from the Ottoman Empire, and memorable places dedicated to Ukrainian scientists and cultural figures.
According to the words of the lecturer, Viennese architecture, museums and opera became part of the world cultural heritage.
The event contributed to the expansion of the worldview of youth, increasing the level of cultural awareness and formation of European values.
