Within the framework of the international project of Dnipro State University of Internal Affairs with the support of the Folke Bernadotte Academy took place an optional lesson from the course “Community safety in conditions of martial law”.
The event was conducted by head of the department of psychology, sociology and pedagogy of the faculty of training specialists for criminal police units — Nataliia Komykh.
Participation in the lesson took cadets of the Research and Training Institute of training specialists for preventive activity units of the NPU. During the lesson participants mastered the method “GISMAOVK”, creating a map of conflict in the local community. Besides, performed a psychological exercise “Traffic light”, aimed at the development of skills of self-regulation and time management.
Such events form in future police officers understanding of the importance of partnership with the community, development of trust and psychological resilience in conditions of wartime challenges.
