Career guidance from DSUIA: interregional level of interaction

Representatives of Dnipro State University of Internal Affairs conducted a series of career guidance online-meetings with pupils of Dnipropetrovsk, Poltava, Zaporizhzhia and Zakarpattia regions.

To the communication joined schoolchildren of the Basic educational institution “Trudoliubivska gymnasium of Myrhorod city council of Poltava region”. Cadet of the 3rd year of the faculty of training specialists for pre-trial investigation bodies of the NPU Nataliia Taran and sergeant of the 3rd year Volodymyr Panshin told pupils about the structure of the university, faculties, institutes and conditions of admission. To the event joined the head of the 3rd year of the faculty police captain Oleksandr Morhovskyi.

The next became a meeting with senior pupils of Dnipro Lyceum No. 31 “Prioritet” of Dnipro city council. Head of the 4th year of the faculty police captain Oleh Chalyi together with cadet Anna Motuz acquainted lyceum students with conditions of admission, features of passing the competition in physical training, directions of training and material-technical base of the university.

In parallel continued career guidance online-meetings in Zakarpattia. Senior lecturer of the department of criminal procedure, police lieutenant colonel Yuliia Shendryk communicated with pupils of Uzhhorod lyceums No. 8 and No. 9.

Associate professor of the department of criminal procedure police major Alina Harkusha met with pupils and leadership of Zaporizhzhia lyceums No. 34 and No. 12. During the communication special attention was paid to conditions of admission to higher education institutions of the Ministry of Internal Affairs in 2026, in particular — to Dnipro State University of Internal Affairs. A similar event for senior pupils of Zaporizhzhia Lyceum No. 87 was conducted by professor of the same department Olena Soldatenko.

To the career guidance work actively joined also representatives of the faculty of training specialists for criminal police units of the NPU. Lecturer of the department of civil-legal disciplines police captain Maryna Lohinova and cadets of the university conducted a meeting with schoolchildren of Dnipro Lyceum No. 142. To participants were told about educational programs of the university and prospects of work in units of the National Police.

Online-format was chosen also for the meeting with schoolchildren of lyceum No. 6 of the city of Samar. Professor of the department of language training Volodymyr Krasnopolskyi and associate professor of the department Anna Maksymova not only told about educational opportunities of DSUIA, but also conducted a thematic quiz during which pupils demonstrated interest and received answers to all questions.

Such career guidance events contribute to early professional self-determination of future graduates and help them confidently prepare for the admission campaign.
