At Dnipro State University of Internal Affairs took place a meeting dedicated to issues of road safety. Participation in the event took cadets and employees of the university.
With the onset of dark time of day and winter period sharply increases the risk of road-traffic accidents. At this time especially actual becomes the issue of observance of rules of personal safety on the road both for drivers and for pedestrians.
Before those present performed inspector of the department of road safety of the Patrol Police Management in Dnipropetrovsk region, police captain Dmytro Kozar. He in detail told about typical risks of winter period and gave examples of situations that often lead to accidents.
During the event to participants were reminded basic rules of safe behavior on the road. Special attention was paid to issues of safe crossing of pedestrian crossings and intersections in dark time of day and in conditions of ice — both for pedestrians and for drivers. The speaker also emphasized the importance of observance of speed regime.
Such meetings contribute to increasing the level of safety and formation of responsible behavior of all participants of road traffic.
