The event was organized by the department of criminal procedure for cadets of the faculty of training specialists for pre-trial investigation bodies of the NPU of Dnipro State University of Internal Affairs within the framework of mastering the discipline “Criminal procedure”.
During the lesson cadets together with professor of the department of criminal procedure, police major Viktoriia Rohalska received information from employees of the temporary detention isolator. They learned about the activity of this special institution, grounds and procedural order of lawful restriction of the right to freedom and personal inviolability during detention of a person.
Cadets also acquainted themselves with the work of the system Custody Records and had the opportunity to directly communicate with inspectors on observance of human rights.
Such lessons contribute to better assimilation of theoretical material. They help future investigators in the future to avoid mistakes during detention of persons in the order of article 208 of the Criminal Procedure Code of Ukraine “Detention by an authorized official”.
