The competition took place on 14 November at the base of Chernivtsi University named after Yuriy Fedkovych. Participants became seekers of higher education institutions from the whole country: in the selection stage took part 29 teams.
DSUIA were represented by cadets of 3-4 years of the faculty of training specialists for pre-trial investigation bodies of the National Police of Ukraine. The team of DSUIA “Young lawyers” with participation of Yelyzaveta Burmystrova, Olena Lukianenko, Ilona Buiakova, Yaroslav Lysiuk, Vadym Solod under the mentorship of professor of the department of criminal procedure, police major Viktoriia Rohalska entered the final where took 3 place.
During the competition tests participants received a modeled plot with a complex of trace objects that required quick orientation, logical thinking and accuracy of fixation of each element.
Cadets of DSUIA not only demonstrated at the highest level their knowledge of criminal procedure and criminalistics but also showed the ability to clearly plan, organize and conduct investigative (search) actions, put forward substantiated criminalistic versions, effectively work with traces of hands, footwear and micro-objects, and also competently draw up protocols, photo tables and schemes.
Representatives of the jury noted the high level of team work, consistency of actions and ability of cadets to make substantiated decisions in conditions of limited time.
Participation in the competition became for cadets an important stage of professional formation because gave the opportunity to feel real challenges of the work of an investigator, work with modern equipment and increase own confidence.
