Training in adaptive basketball on wheelchairs for military veterans was organized by the department of special physical training of Dnipro State University of Internal Affairs at the initiative and with the assistance of the leadership of the higher education institution.
The training was attended by Viacheslav Kaistro, Oleh Sakhnov, Serhii Kyrychenko and Ivan Zmiievskyi — defenders who train at the base of DSUIA.
The aim of the trainings — physical rehabilitation, restoration of motor functions, strengthening of health as well as psychological support and social reintegration of participants. The game in a team helps to reduce the level of stress, increase self-confidence and return to active communication.
Trainings in adaptive basketball at DSUIA are conducted weekly.
