For World Children’s Day cadets of the faculty of training specialists for criminal police units of the NPU of DSUIA conducted a legal education event for pupils of the sponsored communal educational institution “Special School No. 12” of Dnipropetrovsk Regional Council.
The aim of the meeting was to increase legal awareness of schoolchildren, acquaint them with rights and duties, history of their origin and mechanisms of protection. Cadets prepared adapted presentation materials that allowed to present complex legal issues in simple accessible language taking into account age features of the audience.
The program of the event consisted of an informative lecture and an interactive game. During the lesson pupils examined real life situations learned to identify possible violations of their rights and the algorithm of actions in such cases.
Participation in the event became an important stage of professional formation of cadets and contributed to formation of empathy — a quality necessary for future law enforcement officers.
At the end of the meeting schoolchildren received sweet gifts for activity and interest.
