DSUIA Cadets Honored the Memory of Holodomor Victims

NEWS

Cadets of the Dnipro State University of Internal Affairs took part in a commemorative event near the Memorial to the Victims of Political Repressions and the Holodomor.

The future law enforcement officers honored the victims with a moment of silence and solemnly laid flowers as a sign of sorrow and remembrance. The youth supports this initiative every year, paying tribute to the millions of innocent victims of the totalitarian Stalinist regime.

According to the participants, the events of 1932–1933 still shock and frighten with their horror, as the Holodomor was a deliberate crime against the Ukrainian people aimed at suppressing its cultural and national identity.

The event was also joined by military veteran and DSUIA staff member Pavlo Ostrohliadov.

The participation of cadets in commemorative events promotes a deeper understanding of the scale of the tragedy, strengthens national resilience, and develops the ability to resist propaganda and consciously defend historical truth.
