The event was conducted within the annual nationwide campaign “16 Days Against Violence” with the participation of human rights advocates and representatives of social services.
The participants were welcomed by the Assistant to the Rector of DSUIA on Gender Issues, Doctor of Juridical Sciences, Professor, Honored Lawyer of Ukraine, Larysa Nalyvaiko.
Cadets of the Dnipro State University of Internal Affairs took part in the event. The main goal of the event was to increase the level of awareness among higher education seekers regarding the forms of violence under martial law, to develop skills for identifying, preventing, and responding to such cases, as well as to promote responsible attitudes toward personal safety and the safety of others.
The speakers of the event were lawyer, public figure, and human rights defender Yuliia Seheda; psychologist of the mobile team of the NGO “MARTIN-Club” Lina Dudnyk; and case manager of the mobile team of the NGO “MARTIN-Club” Valeriia Ishmakova.
During the lecture, attention was focused on the main forms of violence under martial law, legal mechanisms of prevention and response, action algorithms for victims, and the role of the police, social services, and mobile teams in providing assistance.


In addition, special attention was given to the professional and ethical conduct of future police officers, interagency cooperation, and psychological aspects of working with victims, as well as specific challenges related to the wartime context.
