The event within the framework of the All-Ukrainian campaign “16 days against violence” was conducted for cadets of the faculty of training specialists for criminal police units of the National Police of Ukraine of Dnipro State University of Internal Affairs.
The class on the discipline “Fundamentals of ethical and psychological training of police officers” was conducted in the format of a practical workshop which combined theoretical knowledge and applied tools for working with children who have experienced traumatic experience.
The event was conducted by the head of the department of psychology sociology and pedagogy Nataliia Komikh and psychologist coach of the Right to Protection Charitable Foundation supervisor of the NGO “Social Project RAZOM” Kateryna Mitchenko.

Cadets received the opportunity to work with practical cases practice skills of non-violent communication support techniques and response algorithms in situations concerning children.


Such classes form not only professional competences but also empathy sensitivity and psychological readiness of future police officers to work in situations that require special psychological delicacy.
