The event was organized by the general library of DSUIA together with scientific worker of the museum of contemporary Russian-Ukrainian war Mariia Hrytsiuk.
In the event took part cadets and students of Dnipro State University of Internal Affairs as well as pupils of Dnipro Lyceum of security direction and national-patriotic education of the Ministry of Internal Affairs named after O. Hostishchev.
Participants learned from Mariia Hrytsiuk that the Revolution of Dignity was caused by distrust of the authorities corruption and desire for European integration and the key reason became the decision of the government to suspend preparation for signing the Association Agreement with the EU. The main consequences became change of power establishment of pro-Western course of Ukraine strengthening of Russian aggression and recognition of Ukraine as a sovereign state with European vector of development.
Mariia Hrytsiuk believes that the events of 2013-2014 gave an impetus to the development of the state. Over time this was only confirmed: the Revolution of Dignity was tragic but not at all in vain. Over these years Ukraine has passed a huge path started more than one reform and strengthened its positions in the world.
The event contributed to national-patriotic education of youth and deep understanding of the events of 2013-2014.
