In Dnipro took place command-staff exercises organized by the Main Directorate of the National Police in Dnipropetrovsk region. Dnipro State University of Internal Affairs was represented by vice-rector police colonel Ihor Kovalov.
The exercises were conducted with the aim of improving coherence and efficiency of work of police units of the region strengthening interaction with bodies of central and territorial subordination units of the National Police Ministry of Internal Affairs of Ukraine and other structures for coordination of joint actions during performance of official tasks. In addition attention was focused on deepening knowledge and skills of the leadership regarding making managerial decisions coordination of forces and means during emergency-rescue and other urgent works ensuring protection of public safety and order during possible emergency situations.

The command-staff exercises were conducted by the head of the Main Directorate of the National Police in Dnipropetrovsk region police general of the third rank Oleksandr Hanzha. To participation joined representatives of the National Guard of Ukraine State Emergency Service power structures central bodies of executive power and bodies of local self-government.
During the trainings were practiced actions in case of damage to critical infrastructure facilities termination of electricity supply heating and communication. Were considered issues of organization of notification of the population and personnel deployment of situation centers coordination of interaction with the State Emergency Service National Guard police departments and local services ensuring measures of civil protection protection of public order and prevention of looting.
Vice-rector of DSUIA police colonel Ihor Kovalov informed about personnel readiness and potential of the university was agreed the number of persons of permanent and variable composition who can be involved for protection of public safety and order.

According to the results of the command-staff exercises were determined further steps for improvement of interaction and increasing efficiency of response to emergency situations.

Such events contribute to strengthening readiness of security forces to actions in extreme conditions increase the level of coordination between structures and ensure effective protection of the population and critical infrastructure.
