Applicants Learn About DDUVS: University Representatives Held a Series of Career-Guidance Meetings

The participants of the events were high school students — lyceum students from Dnipro, Pavlohrad, Uzhhorod, and Zaporizhzhia.

Thus, the Department of Psychology, Sociology and Pedagogy organized a university tour for senior students of Dnipro Lyceum No. 21. The students visited training grounds and a multimedia shooting range, specialized classrooms for professional training, as well as a modern shelter that ensures the continuity of the educational process under martial law.

The Department of Special Physical Training conducted career-guidance activities at the Customs and Tax Affairs Lyceum with enhanced military and physical training in Dnipro. Participants were informed about the admission requirements to the university and were shown basic tactical actions designed to protect law enforcement officers in case of a threat from an armed offender.

A career-guidance meeting with students of Zaporizhzhia Lyceum No. 31 was conducted by Professor of the Department of Criminal Procedure Olena Soldatenko, Head of the Department of Theory of State and Law Olha Kulinich, and Senior Inspector of the Special Police Unit of the National Police in Zaporizhzhia region, Police Lieutenant Alina Hulyaikina. The speakers talked about preparatory courses available at the university and shared details of the competitive selection process.

An online meeting for students of Uzhhorod Lyceum No. 5 was held by Professor of the Department of Criminal Procedure, Police Major Viktoriia Rohalska. She introduced future graduates to the available study programs, admission requirements, and specific features of the educational process at the university. The event also involved cadet Ivan Minailov, who answered students’ questions.

Career-guidance activities for students of Pavlohrad Lyceum No. 11 were organized by the Department of Criminalistics and Pre-Medical Training. In particular, lecturer Vadym Chepurko spoke about the educational and professional programs and outlined career opportunities in the National Police after graduation.

Such activities help students make an informed choice about their future profession and enable young people to better understand the specifics of work in the field of security and defense.
