In the finals of the table tennis competition, athletes of Dnipro State University of Internal Affairs won several prize places.
54 veterans and female veterans from different cities of Ukraine took part in the tournament. Among them were military veterans who systematically train at the DSUIA base: Viacheslav Kaistro, Serhii Kyrychenko, Eduard Kyrylov, Yevhen Boiko and Ruslan Belia. Throughout the year the athletes successfully passed the qualifying stages, showing endurance, persistence and masterful possession of the game technique.
In the finals of the competition the veterans once again confirmed the high level of preparation, showing the following results:
1st place in individual competitions – Yevhen Boiko (category “visual impairment”);
2nd place in individual competitions, 3rd place in doubles – Viacheslav Kaistro (categories “amputations” and “standing” respectively).
The team was supported by coaches of Dnipro State University of Internal Affairs – champion of Ukraine in table tennis Vasyl Koval and senior lecturer of the Department of Special Physical Training Margaryta Chobotko. As part of the event, Margaryta Chobotko held career-guidance talks with participants, telling about the possibilities of entering DSUIA and the work of the Barrier-Free Driving School at the university.
