In the city of Kyiv started large-scale national multisport competitions «HART» for war veterans and persons with disability as a result of war. The event is organised by the Foundation «Come Back Alive» together with the Ministry of Veterans Affairs of Ukraine.
The event was opened by the Minister of Veterans Affairs of Ukraine Natalia Kalmykova.
In the team of Dnipropetrovsk Oblast take part inspector of the sports team of the Social and Humanitarian Work Department of Dnipro State University of Internal Affairs Viacheslav Panin, assistant of the duty officer of the duty unit of the Service Organisation Department Pavlo Adamenko, military veteran, participant of Invictus Games («Invictus Games») Viacheslav Kaistro, Oleh Sakhnov and other veteran-athletes.
Participants compete in nine types of adaptive sports: wheelchair basketball and wheelchair rugby, sitting volleyball, archery, indoor rowing, laser run, powerlifting, cycling and swimming.
The participation of regional representatives in competitions of such level contributes to the rehabilitation of war veterans by means of sport, demonstrates a high level of physical training and the indestructibility of the spirit of Ukraine’s defenders, and also emphasises the importance of systematic support for persons who received wounds during the performance of combat tasks.
