Training Session for World Day for the Abolition of Slavery for DSUIA Advanced Training Trainees

Trainees specializing as community police officers and employees of the criminal investigation unit undergoing advanced training discussed issues related to combating modern forms of slavery.

At the Dnipro State University of Internal Affairs, a training session dedicated to the International Day for the Abolition of Slavery was held. The event was conducted by Yurii Soroka, Head of the Educational Security Service Department of the Main Directorate of the National Police in the Dnipropetrovsk Region, Police Lieutenant Colonel.

During the meeting, participants examined modern forms of slavery, including human trafficking, forced labor, sexual exploitation, and the recruitment of children into unlawful activities. Special attention was given to the criminal-law qualification of such offenses, algorithms for detecting and documenting crimes, interagency cooperation when responding to cases of modern slavery, as well as preventive work carried out by community police officers and criminal investigation officers.

The implementation of such events contributes to deepening the professional knowledge of trainees, increasing the effectiveness of countering human trafficking and other forms of modern slavery, and fostering a clear understanding of the role of the National Police of Ukraine in protecting human rights and freedoms.
