The event was held within the framework of national-patriotic education and with the aim of professional orientation of pupils.
The meeting was organized by the inspector of the Educational Safety Service Department of Kamianske District Police Department, police lieutenant Yelyzaveta Kosenko. Pupils of gymnasium No. 21 of the city of Kamianske met with military veterans – laboratory assistant of the Department of Civil Law Disciplines of the Educational-Scientific Institute of Law and Innovative Education of DSUIA Artem Formalov and deputy head of the course of the Educational-Scientific Institute of Training Specialists for Preventive Activity Units of the National Police of Ukraine Ivan Zmiyevskyi.
Veterans shared with pupils their own stories and experience of service, told about the challenges faced by military personnel and police officers, as well as about the importance of courage, responsibility and cohesion.
Children were shown individual protection means, in particular body armour, helmets, protective cloak, etc., also children learned the principle of operation of a thermal imager and its importance for successful performance of official tasks.

During the meeting, pupils were informed about the procedure and conditions of admission to Dnipro State University of Internal Affairs and to the Dnipro Lyceum of Security Orientation and National-Patriotic Education of the Ministry of Internal Affairs named after Oleksandr Hostishchev.
Separately highlighted issues of forms of education, specialities and provided information tentang faculties, institutes and educational programmes.

Military veterans told pupils about the peculiarities of obtaining education in educational institutions of the Ministry of Internal Affairs system, specifics of the educational process and prospects of further service in the ranks of security and defence forces.
Such meetings contribute to the formation of patriotic consciousness, respect for military and law enforcement officers, and also motivate youth to a responsible choice of their future path.
