The tactical and theoretical course on providing pre-medical aid in combat conditions for lyceum students is ongoing.

The second training session for students of the O. Hostishchev Dnipro Lyceum with a security focus and national-patriotic education was conducted by representatives of the Recruiting Center of the 12th Special Purpose Brigade “Azov” of the 1st Corps of the National Guard of Ukraine, call signs “Khimik” and “Nova.”
During the practical session, the lyceum students practiced algorithms for stopping massive bleeding through the application of tourniquets. From the instructors, they learned which parts of the body tourniquets can be applied to without posing a threat to the victim’s life, after which they practiced the procedure in pairs. Using simulation models, the students attempted wound packing on their own and mastered the correct use of various types of bandages.

Such knowledge is extremely useful during emergencies, road traffic accidents or other situations that threaten the life and health of citizens. Proficiency in pre-medical aid skills enables coordinated action under stress and helps make quick, responsible and effective decisions.
