At DSUIA – two more graduates of the Barrier-Free Driving School!

NEWS

Veterans Andrii Petrenko and Anatolii Zlastin successfully completed training at the base of the Barrier-Free Driving School of Dnipro State University of Internal Affairs. Category “B” driving licences to the graduates were handed over by the head of the Department of Automotive Training Yevhenii Khokhlov.

The men have a similar history. Both stood up for the defence of Ukraine at the beginning of the full-scale invasion, and during the performance of combat tasks suffered injuries of the musculoskeletal system. About the possibility to undergo training at the Barrier-Free Driving School of DSUIA they learned already at the stage of rehabilitation.

The training course lasted 11 weeks: the first 4 were devoted to theory, another 7 – to practical training. Before driving out to the site, listeners practised driving skills on special simulators, and later improved under the guidance of experienced instructors on specially equipped cars.

Veterans admit: during the first drive they felt excitement, however today they already feel confident behind the wheel. Graduates noted the high professionalism of instructors, comfortable learning conditions and individual approach to each listener.

The Barrier-Free Driving School of DSUIA continues to implement the policy of inclusiveness, creating accessible and high-quality learning conditions for persons with disabilities and veterans.
