The events were organized by the General Library of the Dnipro State University of Internal Affairs on the occasion of International Human Rights Day and the International Anti-Corruption Day.

Thus, the book exhibition “Knowledge of Laws Means Knowledge of Rights” highlights the provisions of the Constitution of Ukraine, international human rights instruments, as well as materials that help better understand mechanisms for the protection of rights. During the review, cadets became acquainted with literature covering issues of the rights and freedoms of internally displaced persons, gender equality, and the observance of human and civil rights and freedoms in various fields of activity.

The second event—the thematic exhibition “Combating Corruption: Today’s Challenges”—brought together publications on modern forms of this crime, legal mechanisms for countering corruption, and the experience of international organizations in the field of anti-corruption efforts.
University cadets reviewed materials that comprehensively address the issues of formation and implementation of Ukraine’s anti-corruption policy, criminal liability for corruption, algorithms for detecting offenses, preventive measures, and successful practices of interagency cooperation. The exhibition was complemented by the bibliographic index “Combating Corruption: An Urgent Issue of Our Time,” whose source base consists of books, dissertation abstracts, conference materials, academic collections, and periodicals received by the General Library’s holdings since 2021.

Such events contribute to increasing the legal awareness of learners, developing a responsible attitude toward their own rights, freedoms, and duties, as well as fostering an intolerant attitude toward any manifestations of corruption and deepening knowledge of action algorithms in the event of detecting corrupt practices.
