The event united leading specialists of the Ministry of Internal Affairs of Ukraine, National Police of Ukraine and representatives of analytical units of Main Directorates of the National Police of Ukraine in oblasts.
Participants were greeted by Acting Rector of DSUIA Ihor Mahdalina; Director of the Department of Education, Science and Sports of the Ministry of Internal Affairs of Ukraine, police captain Oleksandr Tarasenko; Head of the Department of Criminal Analysis of the National Police of Ukraine police colonel Roman Butko; Head of the Main Directorate of the National Police in Dnipropetrovsk Oblast, police general of the third rank Oleksandr Hanzha; Head of the Main Directorate of the National Police in Zaporizhzhia Oblast, police general of the third rank Artem Kysko; Acting Head of the Main Directorate of the National Police in Luhansk Oblast, police colonel Vitalii Tarasov.



The seminar was attended by representatives of the Ministry of Internal Affairs of Ukraine, National Police of Ukraine, regional police directorates, Department of Criminal Analysis, criminal investigation units, Main Investigation Directorate and Dnipro State University of Internal Affairs.
The work of the seminar was carried out in the format of two discussion panels, moderators of which were Acting Rector of DSUIA Ihor Mahdalina and Head of the Department of Criminal Procedure of DSUIA, police lieutenant colonel Dmytro Sanakoev.

During the work of the first panel were raised issues of detection of information-psychological operations (IPSO); integration of software solutions during conducting analytical research of tactical level; functioning of video surveillance and video analytics systems on the territory of Ukraine and use of their capabilities for disclosure of criminal offences and ensuring public safety and order; OSINT as a key tool in investigation of war crimes; criminal analysis as a component of documentation and investigation of war crimes, as well as experience of DSUIA in the sphere of topical issues of training criminal analysts for units of the National Police of Ukraine in modern conditions.


The second panel was devoted to consideration of issues of implementation of practice-oriented methods for the institute of mentorship in training personnel for analytical units of law enforcement bodies; implementation of newest analytical solutions for the purpose of increasing the effectiveness of investigation of war crimes and crimes against national security; effectiveness of use of geoinformation systems and OSINT-tools for documentation of war crimes; analytical support of investigation of war crimes and crimes against national security; application of AI-platform Briefcam for optimization of video analysis processes and effective processing of video archives; analytical support of investigation of war crimes and crimes against national security in frontline regions; effectiveness of use of geoinformation systems and OSINT-tools for documentation of war crimes; peculiarities of search for missing persons in conditions of martial law; use of open sources of information for establishing the location of missing persons in wartime conditions.

The event confirmed the leading role of Dnipro State University of Internal Affairs as an important scientific-educational centre that ensures professional development of specialists of the security sector and contributes to the implementation of modern analytical approaches in law enforcement activity of Ukraine.
Also was reviewed the material-technical base of the university.
