On the Day of Remembrance of the Participants in the Liquidation of the Consequences of the Accident at the Chornobyl Nuclear Power Plant, a screening of the documentary film “The Chornobyl NPP Disaster. 35 Years of Myths and Fakes” was held at the lyceum.

The film, created by Ukrainian teams and based on scientific research, debunks widespread myths about the accident, shows the real scale of the disaster and the current state of the exclusion zone, and invites viewers to reflect on the tragedy from the perspective of time.
After the screening, the lyceum students took part in a discussion, during which they shared their thoughts on the self-sacrifice and heroism of the liquidators, as well as on the importance of preserving the memory of the people who contained the atomic threat at the cost of their own lives. The cadets noted that the film made a strong emotional impression and helped them gain a deeper understanding of the significance of the liquidators’ feat.

The event was held within the framework of national and patriotic education of youth. According to the organizers, the example set by the participants in the liquidation efforts serves as an important moral guideline that fosters readiness to act decisively, cohesively, and responsibly in the face of danger.
