NEWS

The event was conducted by the Psychological Support Unit of DDUVS for second-year cadets of the Faculty of Training Specialists for Criminal Police Units of the National Police of Ukraine.

The purpose of the training was to develop emotional stability, skills of constructive interaction within a unit, and reflection after stressful events among higher education students. According to the specialists, these competencies form the basis of a police officer’s professional readiness and determine the effectiveness of responses in challenging service situations.

The cadets practiced techniques of brief structured reporting, mastered methods of self-regulation, and learned ways to provide psychological support to colleagues while performing official duties. The training format combined practical exercises and discussions, allowing participants to apply their knowledge in simulated conditions.

The participants demonstrated improvement in their ability to consciously analyze their own actions, an increased level of psychological resilience, and more effective teamwork.

Psychologist of the DDUVS Psychological Support Unit Alina Horodnychenko believes that the development of such skills is an integral component of the professional training of future police officers and an important factor in their further successful service under modern conditions.
