The events were organized by the Department of Special Physical Training of the Dnipro State University of Internal Affairs with the active support of the university administration.
Military veterans who regularly engage in sports at the DDUVS facilities — Ihor Krasnoshlyk and Oleksandr Hryshchuk — took part in the event. Patients of the Superhumans Dnipro center learned about the rules of pétanque, observed the techniques and specific features of the game, and also had the opportunity to try this type of physical activity themselves.
Pétanque combines elements of accuracy, strategic thinking, and team interaction, contributing to the development of fine motor skills, the reduction of psychological tension, and the formation of a sense of team unity. According to specialists, this game is suitable for individuals undergoing rehabilitation, as it does not require sudden movements or excessive muscle strain.
Such activities contribute to the motivation for an active lifestyle, as well as to the social adaptation of military veterans, providing opportunities for communication and physical recovery.
