The Government has approved a regulation developed by the Ministry of Social Policy, Family and Unity of Ukraine, which defines the mechanism for providing monetary compensation to persons with disabilities and persons with limitations in daily functioning for the modification of passenger cars.
The right to compensation is granted to persons who have not previously received such a payment under other budget programs, or if more than 7 years have passed since the previous compensation. Repeated compensation is also possible in the event of the loss of a vehicle as a result of hostilities or when modifying another vehicle acquired into ownership (not earlier than 7 years after the previous payment).
An application for compensation may be submitted within three months from the date of registration of the modified vehicle.
The application is submitted to the territorial office of the Social Protection Fund for Persons with Disabilities (SPFPD):
• in paper form;
• through the individual electronic account on the Social Web Portal of Electronic Services of the Ministry of Social Policy;
• through the Unified State Web Portal of Electronic Services (Diia Portal).
Compensation is paid in the amount of the actual expenses incurred for vehicle modification, but not exceeding 50,000 hryvnias.
The assignment and payment of compensation are carried out at the expense of the budget program funds in the order of application submission. The decision is made by the territorial office of the SPFPD after verification of the submitted documents and data from state registers.
