Guests were greeted with a concert programme of university amateur arts.
The event began with the performance of the National Anthem of Ukraine, after which all present honoured the memory of the fallen with a minute of silence.
Veterans were greeted by the assistant to the rector of Dnipro State University of Internal Affairs Volodymyr Kovbasa. He thanked those present for the years of service in internal affairs bodies and the experience that they pass on to cadets as representatives of the next generations of law enforcement officers.
Students, cadets and employees of DSUIA prepared a concert programme for veterans.
The event became a testimony of respect to veterans of the system of the Ministry of Internal Affairs of Ukraine and deep gratitude to liquidators of the consequences of the Chornobyl catastrophe.
