Listeners of “Police Academy” of DSUIA, under the guidance of lecturer police major Vira Shykuta, visited Dnipropetrovsk Scientific-Research Expert-Criminalistic Centre of the Ministry of Internal Affairs of Ukraine.
Binary lesson for listeners at the base of premises of the expert-criminalistic centre was conducted by the head of the laboratory of criminalistic types of examinations Oleksandr Soroka, who acquainted those present with the main directions of the centre’s activity, organization of work of experts and modern material-technical provision.
Special attention was paid to the methodology of examination that covers reception and registration of objects, their preliminary inspection, application of special criminalistic methods and devices, analysis of obtained results and preparation of expert conclusion.
Listeners became acquainted with the procedure and methodology of conducting expert ballistic, traceological and dactyloscopic examinations.
