In the city of Zaporizhzhia, the IFMA Muay Thai championship took place, bringing together about 80 participants from the Dnipropetrovsk and Zaporizhzhia regions.
The Dnipro Lyceum of Security Orientation and National-Patriotic Education named after O. Hostishchev of the MIA was represented at the tournament by student Yan Lestiukhin, who demonstrated a high level of technical and physical preparedness.
According to the results of the bouts, the athlete took first place in the weight category up to 63.5 kg among juniors, confidently confirming his sporting mastery.
The student’s preparation for the competition was carried out by a qualified coach, an international-class Master of Sports Yehor Skurikhin.
The achieved result testifies to the effectiveness of the systematic sports training of lyceum students and the combination of the educational process with the development of physical fitness and discipline.
